Osaka Senshu is full of charm with its rich nature,
history and tradition!
We conducted a monitor tour to deepen our awareness of the appeal of the food of the Nakagouchi and Minamikawachi regions, which have been nurtured along with the climate, by visiting Osaka producers and experiencing harvesting.
The Senshu area, located in the southwestern part of Osaka Prefecture, is bordered by Osaka Bay to the northwest and the Izumi Mountains to the south, and is a land with a warm climate and rich countryside. The area is also rich in historical and cultural resources, industrial resources, traditional festivals, events, hot springs, and other attractive local resources.
Kansai International Airport, the air gateway to Kansai, is a unique maritime airport located on a completely artificial island off the coast of Senshu. With easy access to major tourist cities, it is perfect as a base for sightseeing in the Kansai region, or for quick sightseeing in your free time before your flight.
It is also recommended for "neighborhood trips" to rediscover the charm of the local area. We explored a sustainable future society.
Where is Senshu, Osaka?
The Senshu region consists of 13 cities and towns (9 cities and 4 towns): Sakai City, Takaishi City, Izumiotsu City, Izumi City, Tadaoka Town, Kishiwada City, Kaizuka City, Kumatori Town, Izumisano City, Tajiri Town, Sennan City, Hannan City, and Misaki Town.
The Senshu region, close to the sea and mountains and with a pleasant climate throughout the year, is home to a variety of specialty ingredients.
Please enjoy the abundant ingredients from the mountains and sea, including the nationally famous Mizunasu eggplant, as well as peaches, conger eels, and whitebait.
Throughout Senshu, you can enjoy delicious cuisine made with locally grown, seasonal ingredients.
